San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. I led a 24-person workshop at Kindred Studio and loved the whole experience! Their incredible staff was attentive and helpful for all our set up needs and made it a seamless event. We were able to book the tea service for all of our guests and they absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to come back.

I recently visited Kindred Studio for one of their tea room sessions and had such a relaxing afternoon. The space is cozy, thoughtfully designed, and feels like a little hidden retreat from the city. Everything from the tea setup to the crafting stations encouraged you to slow down and enjoy the experience. I started with a gaiwan tea session and loved taking my time brewing and tasting the tea. It felt both calming and interactive, especially in such a peaceful environment. After tea, I tried the orchid keychain crafting activity for $15, while my friend decorated a claw clip for $10. Both projects were beginner-friendly, fun to make, and gave us a cute handmade souvenir to take home. The supplies were well organized, and there was plenty of room to get creative. If you’re looking for something different from the usual coffee shop hangout, Kindred Studio is such a unique experience. Between the tea, crafting, and cozy atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for a slow afternoon with friends.

I came on a Friday during tea service in the evening. I just moved to the bay and love exploring new places in SF. I noticed there arent a lot a places like this where you can come and hang out. I just brought my laptop to catch up on some work and I loved the ambience. 10/10 would come again! I heard they also do pop ups on the weekend so I will def check that out.

I came to Kindred Studio for a journal making class with my best friend and loved it. I ended up making a leather journal for my boyfriend and I. It’s just a great place to bring your significant other, friends, or family as a gift/presentβ€” especially if their love language is quality time. The space was beautiful and so unique. I love that they do pop up’s for smaller artisanal businesses and the sense of community it houses in the space. SF really needed something like this, and you can tell the owner really poured their heart into Kindred.
